DNV has completed Vendors’ Technical Due Diligence for Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm. The project is located around 160 km off the Yorkshire coast and 120 km off the Norfolk coast and is planned to include 197 Siemens Gamesa SG DD-236 wind turbines.
The scope of DNV’s work included an energy yield assessment and a detailed technical review of the offshore wind farm and associated offshore transmission assets using HVDC technology. The due diligence identified key technical and commercial aspects of the project for consideration by financial institutions involved in the divestment of a 50% ownership stake to Apollo Funds.
