ABS has granted approval in principle (AIP) to Hanwha Ocean for its new semisubmersible-type floating offshore wind turbine design.
Named WindHive 15-H3, the structure supports 15 MW turbines mounted on three hexagonal columns. ABS carried out design reviews in line with class and industry standards.
