Nordex Group has received an order in Germany from Energieversorgung Mittelrhein, Stadtwerke Karlsruhe and Thüga Erneuerbare Energien for the 77 MW Schneifelhöhe wind farm. The company will install eleven N163/6.X turbines and will provide maintenance under a 20-year full-service agreement.
The Schneifelhöhe project is located on the forested Schneifel ridge in the Bitburg-Prüm district of Rhineland-Palatinate. The Delta4000 turbines, each rated at 7 MW with hub heights of 164 metres, are positioned to benefit from the area’s strong wind conditions at elevations between 630 and 670 metres. Construction began in October 2025 and commissioning is planned for the second half of 2027.
