Jumbo Offshore has announced the award of two contracts covering the transport and installation of transition pieces for an upcoming undisclosed offshore wind farm project. The company will install the transition pieces using one of its two DP2 heavy lift vessels during the offshore installation campaigns.
In addition to the transport and installation works, the scope of the contracts includes full management and operation of the marshalling yard. This scope covers the receipt of transition pieces from the transport vessel at the quay, transfer to the storage area, preparation for installation and return to the quay for loading onto the installation vessel.
